Club Governance:

Our bridge club was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit company, Grand Slam Limited, trading under the name of Hokowhitu Bridge Club. 

At the December 2024 AGM, it was resolved that the Board of Directors would move towards changing the club to a not-for -profit incorporated society and consequently seek to dissolve the existing company. This was later confirmed by a SGM held in July 2025 where the current Board members were re-elected to the new managing Committee of the club to be known as the Hokowhitu Bridge Club Incorporated. The first Committee meeting was held in December 2025.

The Committee normally meets monthly. Minutes from Committee meetings and previoius Board meetings are available here.​​​​ Agenda items for Committee meeting should be submitted to the President or Secretary. 

The Committee is responsible for managing the income and expenditure of the Club, and for preparing annual financial statements. Past financial statements can be found here.
